I had a few of their songs on a playlist, and now they are gone. When I went to re-add them, they were gone. Particularly hands in the sky (big shot), and existentialism on prom night. I don't know if this is just on my Spotify, or others as well, but I really liked those songs.

The reason is that the artist or their music label has likely decided to remove it from Spotify.

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.

Songs are never removed from "Your Music" or from your playlists. When a song gets removed from Spotify, the song will be greyed out.

In the app settings there is a setting that you can change to your liking so that unavailable songs are either shown or hidden in your playlists.
