Hiya Jay, good eye! So if you notice incorrect information on an album or track on Spotify, you can report it to their support team for review and potential correction.

To report an error on Spotify, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the album or track that contains the incorrect information.

  2. Click on the three dots next to the song or album title.

  3. Select "Report a problem" from the dropdown menu.

  4. Select the type of issue you want to report (e.g. incorrect metadata).

  5. Provide a brief description of the issue and submit your report.

Spotify's support team will review your report and take any necessary actions to correct the information if it is found to be incorrect.

Reporting errors on Spotify is crucial for maintaining a reliable and accurate platform. Accurate metadata helps users find and enjoy music, while supporting artists and preserving the historical accuracy of their work. By improving the reliability of the platform, reporting errors benefits both users and the wider music community.

Thank you for your time Mr. Chou,

Also to mention, for artists. To report an error, go to the Spotify for Artists website and select "Contact Us." From there, you can select "Metadata" and "Report an issue" to report the incorrect year. It's important to note that it may take some time for Spotify to make the correction, but by reporting the error, you are taking an important step towards ensuring the accuracy of your music on the platform.

Keep the music coming,

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I've tried the three dots option but couldn't find "Report a problem" on the PC or the phone app.

I've just found another error: an incorrect version of a very popular song. I'd like to report them to the team, but as of now don't know how.

Hi @JayChou,
