Spotify Team & Comunity
To whom it may concern
I’m an Uruguayan Attorney, professor of Administrative Law, and first of all, Spotify user;
From the beginning, I collaborated in Spotify's entry into Uruguay. Being in charge of media relations and press management. 11 years ago.
As if it were yesterday. I remember that 1/4 page that dedicated to us was refering that Spotify arrived to become the new competition of “iTunes”
I have been collaborating with the arrival of Spotify to Uruguay for 11 years and today I cannot allow myself not to collaborate in preventing its departure.
(Shortly) The Constitution of Uruguay determines that the new procedure that is intended to be applied to Spotify fits into what is called: Responsibility for a lawful act of the State in a legislative function.
Since an acquired right is being limited. What it allows you (in short) to fight for a compensation for lost profits;

My Question or Issue
Fairly simple, a new law passed that would hurt spotify as it is claimed they'd have to pay double for any uruguayan artists being listened to.
Some users couldn't care less for local music, no one in my social circle listens to more than 2 artists, remove all local content if you must but do not make us mere users collateral damage.
thanks.
