Vanishing albums

Guys you can do much better than this. I assume Spotify is a legit enterprise complete with lawyers who specialize in copyright. On YouTube it’s one thing but here I can’t think of albums which have been here for months and years to be lifted from your playlists. Once there that’s where they should remain. First the classic debut album by the Tindersticks went poof. A couple days ago I noticed that two Skullflower albums which have been here as long as I’ve subscribed are gone. Today my favorite Bevis Frond album ‘Son of Walter’ has vanished and what decent reason is there for not having his nearly as excellent ‘Valedictory Songs’. Music should always be added and not subtracted once it’s on here. If anyone from Spotify reads this could they look into returning these albums to their proper homes ?

I would like to start off by saying that Spotify functions as the receiving end of content.

That means the actions of removing/changing the content relies only on the hands of the artists themselves or any other right holder related.

If you have content which is currently unavailable for you, a good first indication would be to ask a friend using Spotify in the same country to look for it on their account.

If it's not available for them as well, please make sure to read all about missing content on this official support page.

Furthermore, in case you have this files located on your device, you can always use the "Local Files" feature in the mean while.

Sometimes artists make their song unavailable for some reason.
Its really up to artists or maybe copyright holders and spotify can't do anything about it
