What is the function of the play button on the artist page

Hello all,

I hope I'm posting this in the correct area.  Also, apologies if this has been asked before, but I wasn't able to locate anything.

Wanted to confirm the function of the "Play" button on the artist main page.  I don't think it actually plays the entire discography as it always seems like I hear the same songs and other songs are not included.  Short of just creating a playlist of an artist's entire discography, is there a simple way to play all songs by an artist?

Thanks for reaching out, that's a good question.

The play button basically plays the artist's most popular songs.

Some artists have a "Liked songs" playlist so in that case,it would be the one played.

At the moment, it's not really possible to play all the songs from a particular artist. "This is [artist name]" playlists are a good alternative though.

And lastly,there are playlists made by listeners which just might have all the songs.
