Whole albums removed overnight!

Whole albums removed overnight!

I've been using spoitify for some time now, both through their free and premium platforms. There have been occasions when songs or parts of albums have been taken down and I have justed accepted that for what it was. However, over the course of 12 hours whole albums have been removed, causing 2 of my playlists to be deleted and others with little to show. I'm now extremely confused how I am paying for a service that was just purged what I'm paying for! Can anyone help me understand the logic behind this?

As a side note, I understand that contracts allowing the streaming of music run their course or the publisher may have pulled their work etc. It is the fact I lost the bulk of what I had been listening to for over a year in less than a day.

Hey @SouthMiddleton Spotify wants all the world’s music on Spotify. However, some artists and tracks aren't currently available. Sometimes agreements can’t be reached with the artist or label or a change may happen in music ownership.

However, please know thousands of albums and artists are added to Spotify every day. If you can’t find an artist you’re looking for, they may appear (or reappear) soon.

In the meantime, feel free to contact the artist or their label to ask when they plan to be on Spotify. Thanks!
