Why can't I buy audiobooks included in Premium?

My Question or Issue

I can't purchase audiobooks that are also included in Premium.  This is frustrating as a number of audiobooks I have been listening to (Wheel of Time, Way of Kings, etc.) are often 30hrs+ per book.  

Paying for top-up hours when I consume two to three books a month isn't feasible.

Does anyone know how to purchase audiobooks included in premium>

If the audiobook you're trying to purchase is included in Premium, you won't be able to purchase it. I'll make sure to pass your feedback to Spotify, though. 🙂

I AGREE 100%!! Why can't I buy the books that I am going to be listening to more than 15 hours a month!?!? Especially if i am planing on paying about the same price for the physical book?? And even if someone wanted to move up to a premium I would still end paying moremoney in the long run!! This just sounds like greed and a slapin the face fr those who have been long time supporters of this platform. This just sounds so greedy for no reason at all. The appkeeps say ing tht somethig went wrong when i try to pull up the title I want to purchase? Is there still. a way to purchase books to listen to on Spotify?? Please help!!!!

Thank you Spotify. By making it impossible to buy audiobooks included in Premium you’ve turned the best update yet being audiobooks to by far the worst, and most frustrating, update yet. I love using Spotify, but this update honestly makes me want to go check out the audiobook from a local library instead of ever opening Spotify again. Fix it fast or you’re gonna lose a lot of previously ecstatic customers.

I'm glad i've found the answers to my problem. Although it wasn't what i wanted to hear. I have used spotify for years now, always a premium member. I too thought the addition of audiobooks would be amazing (previously used audible but would rather have all my media in one place) but after listening to the first 15 hours of the Lord of The Rings trilogy and then not letting me purchase the books. At 65 hrs total time thats £60 or if i wait for the montly reset of my 15 hours, 4 months, to get through them all. i guess i'll have to go back to Audible

This is BS!!!! If i top up on hours i would be spending 100sss i can go through 15 hours in 2 days. This is ridiculous i will have to cancel my premium.  MAKES NO SENSE.

From a revenue perspective sure. However, from a customer retention perspective this feature should be reconsidered.

This is extremely disappointing. I agree with all of the above. I’d like to purchase a book included in premium. At this stage, I’ve followed all the options I could on Web Player via Safari and Ecosia and I can’t even find the option to get top up hours, which also sound ridiculous. I’m going back to Audible too.

Oh cool, I guess I'm getting an Audible account. What audiobook listener only listens to 15 hours a month? And there's no way I'm paying for $60+ worth of "top offs" to listen to a $15 book on top of the $18 I'm already paying for Premium Duo. That's highway robbery.
