My Question or Issue
Whenever I try to listen to three specific albums, "Bonded by Blood" by Exodus, and "Inbred" and "Preacher's Daughter" by Ethel Cain, the track list shows tracks that don't appear on those albums. The pattern seems to be that there are 15 tracks even though the albums themselves contain less and the added songs come from the artists' other albums. The songs are random each time I open the album and in random order.
Hi there @Fruity_Punk,
Thanks for reaching out.
This is quite odd and we haven't seen anything similar so far. Can you please send us the URIs of the affected albums and also a screen recording showcasing the exact behaviour? If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.
With this information, we'll be happy to investigate further.
Keep us posted.
Here is the video I took of how it looks like:
https://youtube.com/shorts/u1ikrcbd-mA
and here are the links to the albums in the video, however there are more I found but it wouldn't be plausible to fit them all in a single video, especially since I find more and more every day:
https://open.spotify.com/album/3Kd2XJF2ObCCLEhWOYMBHt?si=cSa4smKASjClCKvdlIytmw
https://open.spotify.com/album/3WmujGwOS0ANHkJRnMH6n8?si=gKHPGQVrQ0SKV6XnSDPANw
https://open.spotify.com/album/013WXRAOja0kZ6gnlTCwJ5?si=zHEj77wfRFOQZuMrQZZOhA
https://open.spotify.com/album/1IfG1UITBGxTIIVZ3qgUrD?si=6LtrEselR6iCh-tPXPCHpw
As shown in the video, a big chunk of the tracks do not belong to the album and instead are some of the more popular songs of that artist. Whenever I open these albums, the track list changes again, scrambling the correct songs and randomizing the extra songs. That bug does not seem to affect my desktop version of spotify, only the mobile version.
Hey @Fruity_Punk,
Thanks a lot for the video and the links.
We've checked on our end but couldn't reproduce the behavior. Is it possible to check with another Premium account and/or another mobile device of a friend or a family member?
If it happens there as well, please let us know the exact models, OS versions and Spotify versions of the affected devices.
We'll be on the lookout for your response.

My Question or Issue
There are songs on some albums that I don't want on, and it's mixed up. Please help this is getting annoying
Superhero isn't on WDTY.
Hi there @breath911,
Thanks for reaching out. We'll be happy to help you get the playback working as usual.
The contents of the album should be the correct ones, but there are a couple of possible reasons why songs from outside the album might get interjected. To narrow down what's happening, could you please provide us the following:
With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
Keep us posted.
It's only on my phone, it's off and it started happening when I got premium, few days ago, it's on doesn't happen on some albums, and it happens on everything.
Hey @breath911,
Thanks for sending over more details!
As the additional songs only seem to appear on the mobile app, could you try clearing stored cache to see if you notice any difference? Make sure to sign out from the app and back in again once it's done. These steps should resync your account info.
Another option is to try a clean reinstall. This will also clear cache, as well as ensure that you're running the latest app version.
Shouldn't this do the trick, however, it would be great if you could log in to another account on your device just to see if the behavior persists. For example, you can ask a friend or a family member to sign in to their own Spotify account on your phone.
Let us know how you get on!

My Question or Issue
When i play an album, for instance Beautiful happening, by fairground attraction, i get an enormous list of all fairground attraction songs and not the album tracks. I saw it with other albums too. Not what i want to listen too, i just want to explore that one album, that's why i picked the album.
Hey! Welcome to the Spotify Community.
If you’re playing a specific album, like Beautiful Happening by Fairground Attraction, and Spotify is playing other songs by the band instead of the album tracks, here are a few things you can try:
Make sure you’re actually in “Album” mode
Go to the album page and tap the first track instead of the big green play button. The button may activate “Shuffle” mode, shuffling related songs together.
Turn off Shuffle
In the player, check if the Shuffle icon (🔀) is on and turn it off if necessary.
Add the album to your Library
Tap “Save” or “Like” the album to add it to your Library and try playing from there.
Use the “Queue” button
After you’ve tapped on the album, go to your Play Queue (icon in the bottom right corner) and see what songs are there. If there are other tracks besides the album, try clearing the queue and starting over.
Test on another device or on Spotify Web
If the issue persists, try playing the album on another device or in the browser at open.spotify.com to see if the behavior repeats.
Keep me updated. Cheers, ribezaz 🎶💚
TY SO MUCH. The clean reinstall worked.
Hey! Welcome to the Spotify Community.
This seems like an unusual issue! To better understand what's going on, could you please share:
A screenshot of what you click to start playing the album.
Another screenshot showing what the playback queue looks like after the album starts playing.
If possible, a short video recording showing the issue in action.
In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps that may help:
Clear the app cache – This may resolve sync issues. You can follow this guide: Clear Cached Data.
Sign out and back in twice in a row – This helps force a manual sync of your settings and data.
Check for app updates – If there's a new version available, install it and see if the issue persists.
If the error persists, try a clean reinstall – This may fix corrupted files. Here's the full guide for a clean reinstall: Spotify Clean Reinstall.
If the issue persists even after these steps, let us know!
Keep me updated. Cheers! 🎶💚
I alrwady shared screenshots. So here are the steps. Find artist, fairground attraction in android app. Click on album beatutifull happening. Check the tracklist. Way more tracks than the 12 on the album as mentioned at the bottom of the list and if you check the tracks artwork you will see which are on different albums
Still having the problem. Did anyone tey looking at the album on android app?
Hey @Poppekop,
Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay!
I wasn't able to reproduce this issue on my end, I only see 12 songs, so there might be something on your end that's causing this. Did you try a clean reinstall? If not, I highly recommend performing one, since any damaged cache and your downloads would be removed this way and you can try downloading the album again afterwards.
Keep us posted.
