Spotify Connect does not work between 2 Linux computers

Spotify Connect does not work between 2 Linux computers

Hi all,

I've been enjoying my premium subscription for almost 1 month but I still have some problems with Spotify Connect.

My setup

In my dorm room, I have a desktop computer and I'm sometimes working on my laptop. As I have better speakers on my desktop, I would like to use Spotify Connect from my laptop to play music on my desktop.

The problem

When I want to connect with my laptop to my desktop (both running ArchLinux with Spotify last version from AUR), the spotify connect interface says that the music is already playing "on this computer" when the music is actually playing on my desktop.

I can perfectly control the music on my desktop with the smartphone app.

How does spotify identify uniquely computers on a network exactly? Would someone have any idea how to resolve this?

Thanks a lot!
