My Question or Issue
Whenever I log into my Spotify account on the Web Player and close my browser, I get logged out the next time I access the site. I have tried two browsers (LibreWolf and Brave) and both have this issue. Solutions found in other related posts, like clearing all cookies and bookmarking the Web Player, didn't work either. I've reinstalled both browsers, changed my password, created a new account but nothing worked. Spotify does create cookies and I have added both open.spotify.com and accounts.spotify.com as exceptions for which not to delete cookies on exit, to no avail.
I am running out of options and this issue is extremely infuriating.
I am having the same issue myself.

Same here, but only on Win 11 computer. My laptop with Windows 10 doesn't have this problem.
Same here with Firefox
Same here with Microsoft Edge.
I am experiencing the same issue, closing the web browser logs me out from Spotify Web Player, making using Spotify a really painful experience. By looking at the stored cookies in my web browser, I can see that the "sp_dc" and "sp_key" cookies are stored as session cookies. These two cookies are set when logging in, so are probably the login cookies. Session cookies means the web browser should delete the cookie when the session closes, ie when the web browser is closed. The web browser does what is is told to, the error here is that these cookies are set as session cookies. I am also using LibreWolf, but looking at the network traffic, I can see that Spotify actually tells the web browser to set them as session cookies, so this is not a browser error, but an error in Spotify's login page.
Steps to reproduce: Open any web browser that has cookie support fully enabled. I use LibreWolf. Dismiss the "do you accept cookies" dialog, accepting or rejecting does not matter here. Click Login. Enter email address and password (ie, login using email, not Facebook or anything like that). You are now logged in. Close the web browser and open it again. Go to Spotify Web Player again, it will now be logged out.
This is a bug that the Spotify development team have to look into.
Same here. Windows 11 on the Brave browser.
Same here. Brave browser on Windows 11.
I also get this message every time I log in. When I "Try again", Spotify opens, but really slowly.
This problem seem to have been fixed now. Now I stay logged in just fine when closing the browser.
