System goes to Standby while playback of Spotify

My Issue:

System goes into Standby although Spotify is playing music.

Using other music players (Rhythmbox, Strawberry e.g.) this issue can not be seen: Display switches off, but Standby does not take place, music is playing like expected).

Using video player, also display stays active - so the operating system seems to be configured correctely.

Hi,

You can theoretically fix this problem by going to your power settings. This is usually found by clicking the battery icon in the task bar. There you will have a few options you can set. The standby mode is as far as I have tested this included in the setting 'Suspend when inactive for'. You can set this to never or whatever you like. 

Warning: These settings are used system wide.

Also a quick disclaimer: I have tested this with Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon, so i cannot fully guarantee that this works. Also: The Display lock will still be activated after these settings, but it will still play the music or podcast you're listening to.
