"Add to liked songs" button click does not always add song to Liked songs in Spotify linux app

My Question or Issue

Some times when I click the plus button , on lower left in the app, as shown in the screenshot, the song is not actually added to Liked songs. The button get clicked, but its not added. I could not recreate it now just after it happened again, while recording screen, so its hard to recreate. 

It has happened a couple of times for me on different debian workstation pc's , and i also noticed it happening on Ubuntu. Rarely but it does happen.

I would happily assist if there is anything I can do to help.
