My Question or Issue

Can we please get a aarch64-linux build of the spotify-desktop application? There's some nice ARM(64) hardware, but it's currently not possible to run the Spotify desktop application in an aarch64 environment, because there's no aarch64 build available.

This is essentially the same request as https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Linux/Spotify-Linux-on-aarch64/m-p/3367557#M299, but that one got closed due to the user leaving the platform.

I second this request! We have no possible way to use Spotify on Linux with ARM64 systems.

With the release of ARM64 builds for Spotify's Windows and macOS versions, the only remaining platform without support is Linux.

It's surprising that a company like Spotify, which possesses significant resources, seems unable to allocate a week of one developer's time to create a Linux ARM64 build.

is there any update here? strange arm64 linux is left behind

depends on a lot of things. but it may not even be a week to add support!

I would also like this for my Raspberry Pi!

Has there been any progress on this?

haven’t checked lately. but love it if there was!

@MattSuda might this possibly be up for consideration? it would be huge to allow spotify to run in Raspberry Pi’s

I'm also interested in this! Running Ubuntu in VM on MacOS, M1 CPU.

This is especially important now that Spotify no longer works through wine

@MattSuda might it be possible to provide any information into prospects?

I would also like this for my Pinephone Pro

I would also like this for my Chromebook.

Yes absolutely!

@MattSuda any reason why we're not getting a response on this request?

I would also love to see this.

Running Fedora via Asahi on my Macbook Pro.

Me too!
