1.0.1.1060... - Network share prevents loading

I have a network share that's in my "login items" on Mac. If the machine thats serving the share is not online, no problem i usually get a "cannot connect to network drive" message upon login to my mac and thats the end of that.

With the new update if i open up spotify i get the charcoal grey background and no UI. Then all of a sudden I get the network share error again about 2 minutes later and then the UI loads. It seems like spotify is trying to search this drive for music but it's not available. It happens everytime I open spotify after fully closing it. It's never done this before the update and i've had to remove the network share so spotify even loads. 

Is this a known issue at all?

I'm having the exact same issue with this update.  I have network drives in my "login items"... when Spotify launches, error messages pop-up indicating trouble connecting to the local server.  This occurs whether I have those drives mounted or not.
