Add New Playlist in Folders has been removed?

I add albums to different Playlist Folders. I.e. adding a Metallica Album to the "Rock" folder. I right click the options on the album link and click "Add to Playlist". There is an option at the top for "New Playlist" that creates a new list. I also have the options of adding this to other playlists or folders. 

But when you click a folder there is no ability to add the list as a "new playlist" in that folder. This was a bahavior that I used to be able to accomlish and one that is quite important. Why have a folder to hold playlists if you cannot create a playlist in that folder from this menu? Why was this functionlity removed? My current work-around is to create a new playlist, and then maunally move it into the folder. This is obnoxios.

Please fix this and add back in this functionality.

Hello there and welcome to the community,

Try this, it should work (it works for me)

1 - click on a folder name. ( a green bar will show at the left)

2 - On top left menu, click : File > New playlist

3 - A new playlist will be created at the top of your folder. Name it.

4 - It's done

What you can do also is :

From the album page, drag it by it's title into an existing folder, it will become automatically a playlist with the name of artist and album title

Yes this is a workaround for what used to be solid functionality. I understand the ways around this. But again, I want to just be able to add an album as a playlist to a folder. No having to make a new playlist and then move it. No having to make a playlist and name it apporpriately then add the songs, just simple, add list to folder. 

Again I'm only upset because this was very useful functionlity that was removed.

Just drag an album by it's title to an existing folder and it will be a playlist.
