Complete black screen - frozen app - mac

On the latest update, spotify is broken.

I get a black screen and a frozen app.  Here is what appears in the console:

6/22/15 5:47:37.530 PM Spotify Helper[26850]: Cannot find executable for CFBundle 0x7f9b6150f6a0 </Applications/Spotify.app/Contents/Frameworks/Chromium Embedded Framework.framework/Libraries/PDF.plugin> (not loaded)

Everytime it loads, my server (which is offline) responds with a "problem connecting to server" message.  

Reinstall and deleting the preferences does not work. 

Please help.
