Devices Not Showing Up in Spotify

I have tried everything... connecting to the same Wi-Fi network, connecting with AND without a cable, restarting my laptop, restarting my phone, deleting my phone app, deleting the app on my Mac, and nothing seems to be working... nothing seems to be providing an accurate solution as to why the "devices" section is not showing up on my Spotify Mac app, therefore, I can't  connect local files to my phone.

Someone please help.

Hi, and welcome to the community!

The DEvices tab has been temporarily removed from Spotify desktop. It is returning, but an exact date is unspecified.

For now you can still sync local files to your device, by toggling available in the playlist on your phone. This should sync all the local files in the playlist to your device.

What do you mean when you say "toggling available in the playlist on your phone"? I'm not sure how to do that

When you go to a playlist, there is a button that says 'available offline' ie whether the playlist is synced to your phone. Switch that off/on and the local tracks should sync up.

That option isn't showing up in the playlist, it only says "Install Spotify on your computer to add and play songs from your local library", but I already do have it installed on my computer. That's why I'm so confused, ahhh

There is no option for this on your local playlists. this option is only available on your playlists that you can create. Hard to explain. but basically what im trying to say is: your local playlist isnt like your average normal playlists. and it doesnt give you that option. TBH Spotify need to bring back devices tab. what a horrible idea to get take it away.
