Double Clicking Playlist Title Doesn't Choose a New Song

My Question or Issue

I listen to Spotify on desktop all the time, and a feature I used constantly was double clicking on a playlist title (in the menu on the side) to "re-shuffle" or choose a new song. For example, I would click Play on a playlist, but if I didn't want to listen to the song that came up first, I would double click the playlist title and a different song would be chosen. This option is way better than skipping the track because this way the track is still in the queue of songs and will be played later, because I didn't want to listen to it right then but I still might want to hear it later.

After the most recent update, which I installed this morning, that feature is gone and double clicking just pauses or plays the current song. Please bring back this feature! There are already tons of ways to pause a song, but now the only way to reshuffle the playlist is to play a different playlist and then go back to the first one and click play again.

We tried to reproduce the behavior you describe and we noticed that when the playlist title gets double-clicked the playlist pauses instead of shuffling another track. If you experience this after the recent update it's good to have in mind that we constantly update the app's features and functionalities in order to improve its performance.  

If this isn't possible for the time being, we recommend having a look at this Live Idea suggesting the implementation of such an option. You can support the idea by adding your +VOTE and clicking on Subscribe in the three-dots menu at the top right corner next to the title. That'll make sure you stay up-to-date with any relevant updates about this. It’s also worth knowing that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.

Hi Ivan,

I think you've misunderstood what I'm saying. I am saying that as of a few days ago, double clicking a playlist title would choose a new song. I loved that feature and used it all the time. Now, double clicking the playlist title just pauses the current song and doesn't choose a new one. I hate this feature and want the old behavior back.

As @Ivan mentioned, this is the expected behavior of the desktop app in the newest update.
