Empty title bar overlapping the top in fullscreen mode

Empty title bar overlapping the top in fullscreen mode

In OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and Spotify version 1.0.70.388.g8e1ed5af, I'm seeing a "frosted glass" titlebar overlapping the top of the window when it's in full screen mode. The bar doesn't have buttons, and it overlaps the topmost elements in the interface making it rather frustrating. When I mouse up to the top of the screen (to show the menu bar), then the window controls show up on that bar.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? It has persisted for many versions now and I just assumed it would be fixed soon enough. Is there anything I can do to try to fix it besides upgrading my Mac OS version? Thanks, everyone 🙂
