Import local files from iTunes library

Hi, so I've just downloaded Spotify and am having trouble importing my music library. Currently, I have all my music in local files which I have imported into both iTunes and Google Play. Using local files to import this music into spotify has worked somewhat, however there are some tracks that appear without any artist info and some tracks which appear multiple times, due to there being different file types for the same songs. In either iTunes or Google Play i have deleted the duplicates or amended the track info. Is there any way to import either my iTunes or Google Play library sourcing just the adjusted local files with modified track info?
