I have 80Mbit per second internet speed however Spotify is always buffering. It always happens when I have a window on top of the Spotify window. What is happening?
Hey 🙂
Just to confirm this only happens when you have another window open?

This is not strange behaviour on a Mac, mine has been doing it for ages. I thought it might be my connection but this confirms it isn't. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there has been something seriously wrong with the latest updates to Spotify. I get all sorts of strange behaviour. Most of it has been discussed in the threads of others. This doesn't seem to be peculier to the Mac platform either. Spotify really need to go back to the last really stable version and try again. Why do you think others have been reverting to it?
By the way, I'm using a 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook pro with 8GB of ram on 10.6.8 .

Hey guys 🙂
Would it be possible to start Spotify from a terminal window and then collect the output to see if it is logging any error messages at all?

It should be as easy as starting the Terminal App once you have it open, type "spotify" and press return.

-bash: Spotify: command not found
then used
open /Applications/Spotify.app
opened spotify. what am I looking for?
Started up from Terminal. No error messages there or in console I'm afraid. Next time it plays up I'll see if anything is logged and post it here.
Well. It's stuttering like hell at the moment and there is nothing in the logs, no errors or anything.
