Mac Keyboard Shortcuts

I have the new MacBook and until a few days ago I was able to skip/pause songs via my Keyboard (with the buttons at the top). Well, this does not work anymore as soon as I minimise Spotify (like when I use Safari). I do not recall changing anything in the settings of my Mac or Spotify. I tried restarting the Application and my Mac, even re-installed it, nothing works. I do not use iTunes and there is no programm running in the bachground which would use the play/pause/skip buttons. If I press them nothing happens.

did you upgrade to High Sierra recently? I guess that's the problem. Just search for something like High Sierra spotify hotkeys or High Sierra media buttons
