Mac Media Keys Not Working

A month ago all of the media keys on my logitech wireless keyboard were working with spotify. Took a month off...now only the pause/play key works. All of the keys work in other media application, so it isn't the keyboard or the Mac. 

What gives? This sucks...almost as bad as the Spotify radio feature.

Same problem for me. It's not Spotify, as it still responds perfeclty to the built in keyboard. It's Logitech sending signals directly to iTunes instead of globally.

I used BetterTouchTool to reprogram my keys to talk to spotify directly. Painful to setup, and doesn't work if the screen is locked, but it gets the job done.

For me it was the same problem on Windows and MacOS, both times it was 3rd party applications that take control over media keys. On Windows ir was Google Play Music, on my Mac, just recently, it was a Plex extension for Chrome.

I suggest you check for any other software that could override or take over media controls. Standalone and/or extensions/plugins.
