[Mac] Proxy set manually works only after program relaunch, Proxy Auto Detect doesn't work

[Mac] Proxy set manually works only after program relaunch, Proxy Auto Detect doesn't work

Hello,

I'm using Spotify Premium on Mac OS X Mountain Lion. I listen music at home, without proxy and at work, behind a company's proxy.

When move from home to work, i switch fast the network setting. Unfortunately, Spotify's proxy setting has to be set manually moved from No Proxy > HTTPS Proxy and back everytime I move home > work and back.

After each proxy change, Spotify can't get network connection. I have to close and restart Spotify again in order to have it working.

It would be cool if Proxy Auto Detect would really work.

Thanks for listen.

Thank you Peter. This is a real bug report for a feature already included in Spotify for Mac.

Hey, same problem here. Netherless on the mac, there is no need for a seperate proxy setting INSIDE a application: OSX has it's own setting, so you dont have to change this in every application if you change your location. Best solution would be to remove this setting on the mac or add a "Use system proxy setting" Entry in simfy.

Unbelievable, after 4 years and many releases, this BUG is still alive!

Heya !

I'm moving between differents places each with its own network settings : I have to manually setup proxy settings in Spotify and restart Spotify each time. This really is painfull.

Heya back! As you can see, we reportet this thing over four years ago, but Spotify don't care. My solution: I quited my job, so I don't need a proxy any more 🙂
