Missing artist about section on right side of window

As of a month or so ago, Spotify on desktop was displaying an about section on the artist I was currently playing to the right of the window.

I closed it and now can't find how to get it to reappear.

Does anyone know how to turn this feature back on?

Hey @InvisiKid

The sidebar in question is part of the new experimental UI that Spotify is rolling out to some users. Features may appear and disappear at any time. I have not gotten the new UI yet, but I believe there's a button in the bar at the bottom of the screen for it, which is not in your screenshot. It appears that your UI has reverted back to the official UI. At this time there is no way to choose which UI to use. It should come back eventually, if Spotify decides to keep it.

This happened to me to. 

Hit the X and closed it. 
Hope Spotify makes this a thing in the future. 

Having that right side column open was great.

I have this issue as well, I would really like to get the "about" section back, although I could not find any sort of button or way to get it back. I have even gone through the settings, hoping I'd find anything but sadly without any luck.

Hey folks,

I can confirm @kaworu_bloodpaw is right: this feature is part of a test Spotify's running for some users, so if you don't have it you most likely aren't in the test group. Our tech folks are always trying out possible improvements though, so you might get it back in the future. In the meantime, make sure to always keep Spotify updated so you don't miss a thing.

@Yordan, I don't know if you have the ability to get information to the product manager/owner on this feature or not, but if you do, PLEASE tell them that this is an AWESOME feature and the only thing that would have made it better is if it could have either been broken out into its own window, or to be able to fill in the main area of the app (like where it says good afternoon and then lists a bunch of the playlists) while active.  

should also call out im on PC, not mac, the topic didnt indicate mac when i searched for it, but it still applies

Also wish I could get this back. It went away after my Windows client updated. I loved it, was super convenient to read about an artist when discovering a new song I liked. Was far more useful to me personally than the friend activities. Hope the team decides to make it official.

My spotify desktop client (mac) just updated, and the now playing bar on the right side of the screen has disappeared. I really enjoyed it, it was a fantastic way to connect the listeners to the artists. I'm going to learn a lot less about the artists I try out with this feature gone. I truly hope it returns

Just click on the "Now Playing View" button which is  at the bottom right corner (first button on the left) and you'll get the artist bio back on the right side of your Spotify window.

If you go to the `Application Support` folder, open Users, find yourself, open the document "prefs" and change "ui.hide_hpto" to `false` it will show up again.

There used to be a separate button for the artist info. They removed the button and that threw me off. Thanks for your help!
