Music playing interruptions on Mac

Music playing interruptions on Mac

Since a couple of weeks back I'm experiencing some serious music playback issues on my mac. I'm running OS X 10.10.2  Yosemite. When I play music it will interrupt with something like a pause for half a second every other second. Just like if it were buffering. But if I make spotify the selected app on the computer, the audio continues as supposed to. Then if I put it back into the background it takes a couple of minutes and then starts again.

It doesn't help to play offline tracks, tried deleting all the cache available and restarting my computer. There must be a solution to this or it needs to be fixed!

I'm experiencing the same problem you're describing. My guess is that this issue started after the latest update for Mac last week.
The problem appears only with Spotify and when the Mac is connected to an external usb audio system.

My operating system is OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and the Spotify version I'm running is 1.0.1.1060

I've had this problem for longer than a week. And I get this issue both with build in audio and external usb-audio.

Premium account. Plays music, sound pauses midway, yet the track is shown playing. Starts playing again after a couple of minutes. It's 2015 and I've been seeing these posts asking for a solution since 2013. I'll be posting this on other forums in the hope that someone from Spotify would finally take heed.
