No sound from the Spotify app on Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)

About a week ago the sound stopped playing completely from my Mac Spotify app. Sound works perfectly from other apps. I've tried a clean reinstall 3x to no effect. 

In the clean reinstall, I remove the following directories/files:

/Applications/Spotify.app/

/private/var/db/*/app.com.spotify.client.playlist

Library/Caches/com.spotify.client/

Library/Caches/com.spotify.danstaller/

/usr/local/Library/Formula/libspotify.rb

Any suggestions?? 😞

Also having this problem.

Spotify is totally garbage software. I would never ever pay for this thing. I've never had anything but critical bugs and major usability issues like radio upvoting / downvoting. I'd rather use ad-blocking than pay for something that is this poorly built.

In advanced settings (from preferences) try turning off "Set the same volume level for all tracks".
