My Question or Issue

I am trying to login to the macOS app. It gave me a password invalid code 3 error. I reset the password, it's brand new and fresh and I copy pasted the exact brand new password into the password box. Still gives me the same invalid password error. Tried multiple times and it doesn't fix it. Help!

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

 

In this case, since you mentioned you can access your account even though you just change the password, we'd suggest the following:

  • If your account is linked to an external app such as Google or Facebook, we'd suggest you try to log in with it to see if you can login.
  • You can try resetting your password one more time to see if that makes any difference.
  • Check the firewall settings of your Mac. You can enable or disable the firewall on your Mac by going to System Settings, then Network, and then clicking Firewall.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info to have a better context of this behavior. Please send us: 

  • The exact Spotify version you're running on your device.
  • Does this happen on the web player?
  • Does this happen across all your devices?
