Pause/forward/backward buttons not working anymore

The pause/backward/forward shortcut buttons aren't working for me anymore. Pretty sure I could use them after downloading the macOS High Sierra but I don't remember. I recently opened up iTunes which I hadn't used in awhile but I quit it. I feel like that may have something to do with it. Restarted everything and still nothing. Shortcuts do not work for either music players anymore. I use Firefox.
