Play history empty

Hi all, when I try to look for my History next to Play Queue, it says "Empty - You have no songs in history." I can confirm that I have listened to songs on this device 2 days ago while I was connected to the internet. This seems like a bug, not to mention that trying to get your recently played history in general is such a pain on Spotify.

 

FYI I have tried logging in on a Spotify desktop app from another computer, and the same issue persists.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

 

As a first step, we recommend running a clean reinstall of the app by following these steps. This can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

 

If the issue persists, could you try logging out to a different account, like a friend's or relative's, on your MacBook and let us know if it works there? This would help us narrow down the possible cause of the issue.

Such a lazy answer. This answer is like when you are told by your PC manufacturer the only way to solve your PC desktop issue can be solved by deleting and reinstalling the OS. Oh yeah, great. Just wipe the whole thing out and start over.

No other help between broken app and total destruction. If you follow this advice, don't you lose all your downloads. Did you mention that, Spotify?

Company can't be bothered by getting into detail. Maybe it's a bug, Spotify? How about YOU fix it, tell us when it will be fixed. User has to do all the work, take all the responsibility.
