Playlist time/length removed/missing?

Solved!

Playlist time/length removed/missing?

I just noticed while creating a new playlist that the feature that showed the total playtime/length of the playlist is gone.. I used this feature frequently to create time specific lists.. A 1 hour workout playlist,  A 3 hour roadtrip playlist, 45 minute morning commute etc...  It made it very easy to create lists at exactly the length I needed quickly and I'm a bit upset to see it may have been removed...  Is there some way I can get that to show in my playlists again or is it gone now? I really hope such a useful feature that I used daily wasn't removed..

This is implemented again now (finally!).  It's at the top of the playlist to the right of the number of tracks.  If you don't see it then you need to update to the latest version.

It's taken a ridiculously long amount of time, but they got there in the end!

You should be able to see it in android definitely. Scroll to the top of a playlist (where the cover artwork is) then swipe sideways on that section.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Unfortunately, this feature has been removed in the most recent version of the client (v0.8.8).

There is an ideas topic here which suggests this functionality be returned, and the Spotify team have posted to say it will be returning in a future update!

I too miss this feature. I would create playlists that lasted as long as I was supposed to be at work, so that I knew when the playlist was over, it was time to go home! Spotify seems to be either dragging their feet (by not offering a profanity filter like Pandora for use in the workplace) or are taking away useful features like the playlist times.

I agree. What a daft feature to remove...

I fully agree.

I am new to spotify but one of the very first features I looked for while managing playlists was the playlist length.

I'm an engineer myself and I can't understand how the spotify team could decide to remove such a fundamental feature.

An accurate playlist length should be (re)introduced asap.

Hi, is this still true? I cannot find this information neither in iPod version nor in Android (samsung smartphone) version. I confirm that it woul be very useful in order to create playlist for any purpose.

Great! Hope to get it also with iPad soon.... Thanks!

When will this feature be implemented for iPad?

I'm assuming it will come when the iPad app gets the redesign like the other apps.
