Potential Bug: Top level folders only play first sub-folder's playlists when double clicked

Potential Bug: Top level folders only play first sub-folder's playlists when double clicked

Hey Team,

Sharing a potential bug that's been in the release version of the mac desktop client for a while now. I'm probably an edge case user, but sharing anyway in case anyone else is running into this as well.

Thanks!

OS/Client Versions:

Mac: 10.10.5

Spotify: 1.0.29.92.g67727800

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a Playlist Structure Similar to the following, with 2 or more folders deep

  • All Music (Folder)
    • Classical (Folder)
      • Choral (Playlist)
      • Orchestra (Playlist)
      • Opera (Playlist)
      • ...
    • Country (Folder)
      • Pop (Playlist)
      • ...
    • Electronic (Folder)
      • Chill (Playlist)
      • Chiptune (Playlist)
      • Christian (Playlist)
      • ...

... and so on

2. Double click "All Music"

  • Expected behavior: All playlists in folder and subfolders should play.
  • Actual behavior: Only playlists in first subfolder play (in example above, only playlists in "Classical" will play).

Workaround

  • Make a new top level folder
  • Drag all subfolders into new folder
  • Double click new top level folder

*Works as intended until client is restarted, then bug re-appears
