Spotify shows different song than the one that's playing and keeps stopping

Using the Spotify app on my Macbook Pro (fully updated). Suddenly, the song it shows as playing isn't actually what's playing, and it stops playing anything after each song or two. It will restart if I click a new song and will show the correct song name, but then it will get stuck on that song name. I've restarted the app as well as my computer. I've also logged out of the app and back in again.

Thanks for reaching out. Does this happen on all devices or only on Mac? If you haven't tested on any other devices, please do so. See what happens in the webplayer too. You can try performing a clean reinstall on your Mac, that can help alleviate a multitude of issues.
