Spotify using 5gb of RAM OSX Sierra

Solved!

Spotify using 5gb of RAM OSX Sierra

Hey there, so Spotify is using a lot of memory. Much too much for me to use Chrome and Spotify at the same time, and that's a bummer.

After Opening SpotifyAfter Opening SpotifyBefore opening SpotifyBefore opening Spotify

I tried using CleanMyMac to completely remove Spotify and then reinstall, but it did not fix the problem.

I am running MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) with a

2.6 GHz Intel Core i5,

8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 on

Sierra 10.12.3 (16D32)

What do I do to fix this?

So I fixed it basically by just using cleanmymac again to completely uninstall Spotify while also deleting all its cached files. It now seems that Spotify is using a more normal half a gb.
