Strange songs forcibly playing themselves

Strange songs forcibly playing themselves

Hi.

So today I was just watching Netflix and all of a sudden this random techno music starts playing. I found it was on Spotify and I had no clue what it was. I have never listened to it, never clicked it, never seen it. I paused it multiple times and it automatically started playing again. Even when I completely change playlist to Release Radar it switches back. No one I know is messing with me I can tell you that. It keeps switching between this 2 albums, and they are so strange that they don't even come up when you search them on Google. The songs play out of these 2 albums shown in the attachment.

Someone help me, no clue what's going on.

P.S this is one reason we need a block artist button.

EDIT: It happened again, randomly started playing from the SAME album. Then I paused it and it changed the song and kept playing. **bleep** IS HAPPENING.

Hey @Whxppy! Welcome to the Spotify Community!

It sounds like someone else might be using your account. The steps from this article should help, could you give them a shot? Let me know how you get on.

Thanks and have an awesome day! 🙂

Hi Huib, I've signed out of all devices and it's still happening. It even happened just then. It's always the same artist, same album. It's so strange, I don't think anyone is messing with me. It's the weirdest music I've ever heard, and the artists don't even come up on Google. It's really getting on my nerves because even when I'm not even using Spotify and it's just open in the background it starts.

Hey @Whxppy! Thanks for keeping me posted!

You can contact someone from Spotify using this form. They might be able to take a look backstage and make sure everything's okay! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Take care! 🙂

**bleep** this is the same problem that I have! It is really spooky... I paused Spotify and after half an hour or so Spotify plays a very weird song from the artist "ix Beat".
Also, when I am listening to a song that I chose, after a minute or so, Spotify suddenly plays a weird song I never heard of. So creepy!

I can't listen to Spotify, it happens all the time!

Do you have a solution yet??

I have the same problem. For me its a song called 'the saucy vibe' that keeps spontaneously playing. Also sometimes it just skips to the next song in my playlist. It's made spotify completely unusable lately. I have reset my password but no joy.
