Stuck on Buffer/ Black Empty Screen/ Freezes After Two Songs

Spotify has had consistent problems for me for over a year. The problems mainly are

- after launch, Spotify remains as a empty black screen. The menu on the left loads, but clicking does nothing.

- after launch, Spotify loads, but gets stuck on buffering if I click on anything (e.g. search, a song, etc)

- after launch, Spotify works normally (!) but after a few songs, it goes to an empty black screen or gets stuck buffering

every time this happens, I have to force quit Spotify. I always send an accident report. 

The desktop app is up to date

I have tried a clean uninstall and reinstall

I have tried clearing cache (helped for about two days)

It is so frustrating for me!

What do I do?
