I'm really fond of the ability to sync your local tracks to your phone using the devices option on my desktop spotify. However, since the update, there is no device section that I can find, and boy have I looked. Thus, I don't know how to sync any more local tracks, I'm on the same wifi, have both open, an it syncs the normal ones, but not the local tracks and I can't find a way to connect them.
Solved! Go to Solution.
As for downloading Local Files, you can check this thread here, it seems that there is a solution :
And for the Devices window to show up again, your best bet is probably to get rid of this unfinished beta piece of crap and enjoy a fully-fonctional Spotify again by reverting to the previous version :
The devices section will be coming back in a future update.
In the meantime:
You won't be able to see an indication in the desktop client that the device is paired with the desktop client. But as long as they both are on the same WiFi network you should be able to trigger the local files sync by toggling the offline toggle on the playlist on your device. Just make sure that the local files are in a playlist of their own so that this will work.
Me too, and anytime i try to google anything about it I can't find any help. Apparently nobody else is struggling with finding the device location or how to download local files after the update

You're welcome, I'm trying to give people a real solution instead of just saying "it will be coming back in a future update, please stay seated while we take your money" 🙂
