My Question or Issue

I have contacted support at least 6 times and all they told be to do was delete and redownload the app. Which I did at least 6 times. And it does nothing. Since mid august when they updated the app it takes several minutes to open, which it didn't before. And now the whole thing has a grey haze over it and everything is unclickable. I can't play or do anything on the app.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

 

@popularcrown00, we understand you’ve already reinstalled the app when contacting our Customer Support team, but we’d like you to make a clean reinstall of the app on your computer to see if this makes a difference. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this behavior. You can follow these steps to do it.

 

If the above doesn't do the trick, you can also try opening the app, go to the three-dot menu at the top-left and select Help> Troubleshooting. There:

  • Disable Hardware acceleration.
  • Reset app data.

@jadawj, since you mentioned you've encountered similar issues, we'd suggest you try the troubleshooting steps mentioned above.

 

Folks, if these issues should persist afterwards, please send us:

  • The make/model and OS of the affected device.
  • The Spotify version you're running there. 
  • Does this happen when trying to use the web player?
