My Question or Issue:
I've downloaded the mac desktop app via the Spotify website. There isn't an app in the app store for mac.
My question is whether there is a way to listen to music offline like with the mobile app? Because it's currently just like the web app but accessed via my desktop which is kinda pointless.
Would be great to download my library and albums for offline listening.

Hey @eightiesjukebox,
Thanks for your reply.
In the Apple menu at the top of the screen, you should be able to activate the Offline mode when clicking on Spotify. If you can't see this option, could you send us a screenshot or short video showing what you see (to check it further)?
Also, we recommend that you reinstall the app on your computer (you'll need to download your tunes again if you're on Premium) and let us know if it helps.
We'll keep an eye on your next reply!

Hi @Eni,
I found this article before but it doesn't give me the option to do that on the desktop app.
I'm not sure if it's my operating system or if it's a bug or something.

Reinstalling worked. Thank you!

Have a good one.
Since internet or Spotify streaming services are not always ok, users would not mind to lock some disk space to keep a local cache with the most recent played tracks.
It's different from the offline mode which disconnect you from the internet .
The concept here is like a good cache management.
