Track Jumps to First Position When Using Multiple Devices

Whenever I am using two desktop Spotify programs to control the music through, the music soon jumps to the beginning of the playlist (usually after the end of the first selected track is played). This is not using shuffle and also not at the last track in the playlist.

I use a windows 10 Home machine to control the volume and track selection using version Spotify version 1.0.60.492.gbb40dab8.

The machine that is attached to the speaker is a Mac (OS Siera version 10.12.6) and has the same Spotify version. I have both programs open at the same time using the same network. 

So even if I'm somewhere in the middle of a playlist on the Windows machine at the end of the song it will jump to one of the first few tracks at the beginning of the playlist. Usually, it jumps to the first tack, but I've noticed it also being the third track. 

It happens every time when I try to select a track to play on the Windows machine, and I've tried new Spotify installs on both machines. The problem remains.
