Hey before the updates you were able (on mac) to press command + F to bring up a search field where I can search key words in the playlist.
Please bring this feature back because it was easy to find songs or artist in a playlist that has over 500 songs.
Also this is a feature that made Spotify stand out from competitiors.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The ability to search a playlist will be coming back in a future update. (currently no ETA)
Instead of waiting for features that they took away for no reason, and may never come back while those lazy-ass developers keep collecting your money, your best bet is probably to get rid of this unfinished beta piece of crap and enjoy a fully-fonctional Spotify again, by reverting to the previous version and preventing it from auto-updating :
This is just a temporary workaround while waiting for Apple Beats to be released so we can all finally move away from Spotify 🙂

umm yeah we need this back ASAP. I seriously cannot believe you cannot search in playlists now.
this is a deal breaker. Command + F needs to be functional NOW.
I'm glad that Spotify realizes that people want/need this feature, but seriously, how difficult can it be to implement this quickly? Why was it ever removed at all? This is a basic function that most computer applications can perfom. Also, it seems silly that Spotify would release new software that would remove functions that users have come to expect. For example, one of the major advantages of Spotify above other streaming services is the ability to sync music that was downloaded from other services like iTunes (e.g. music not availble on Spotify like Taylor Swift) to a mobile device. Now this feature is unavialable. Why would a company release an incomplete product? It just doesn't make sense.

Hey Matt
Have you noticed how everyone keeps asking the same questions? Keeps having the same problems?
Maybe Spotify should, I don't know
Do something about it?
I think that would be a good idea
Do you?
Don't waste your time pal. The command f key is not coming back. Spotify said they would bring it back a year ago,but never did. Just try to find the music as best as you can.
Hey Grazzt,
Thanks for theworkaround, it temporarily works and I forgot how awesome Spotify use to be. Hopefully they get it together because if googlebeats is better I will be jumping on it and terminating my subscription with Spotify.
