Why does "Next" play a completely random song?

Hitting the "Next" ⏭️ button in my Spotify Mac app results in a random song playing and not the next song in my playlist. The song isn't on my playlist. I don't have Shuffle on.

Thank you for sharing your issue with us!

Random songs would play in case you're using Spotify free, as playing on demand is a Premium-only feature.

In case you do have Premium but the issue is nevertheless present, we'd like to ask you to send us a short recording of the app behaviour 🙂
(We'd like to see both your playlist and the queue, as well as the described behaviour)

And to start some troubleshooting here, we could also remove your locally saved cache data as shown here.
