Why isn't desktop app syncing to when playing from iphone?

Why isn't desktop app syncing to when playing from iphone?

this bug has been occuring consistently for months, and still hasn't been fixed.

 

playing from iphone, the desktop app shows incorrect/wrong track playing (or nothing at all). 

 

quitting desktop app makes no difference.

 

please fix it!

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • The exact makes, models and OS/Firmware versions of all your affected devices
  • The exact Spotify Versions you use.
  • Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)?
  • Screenshots or a video of the behaviour

Thanks for getting back to us with that info.

 

We've forwarded it to the relevant team for further review, however we can't confirm when it will be addressed. In the meantime, please try the following:

  • Clean reinstall the app.
  • Try using a different internet connection or a hotspot. If not, check your router settings or contact your ISP.
  • Check if the same happens using a different account. If not, we'd suggest reducing the number of saved playlists and albums and see if that makes a difference.
