help with mini player on mac

I am a premium spotify member but am unable to use the mini player feature on my mac, please help!

Has the Miniplayer worked before and, if yes, when has it stopped doing so? 

The Miniplayer is gradually being rolled out and your account might not yet be included. We don’t currently have any dates to share for when the Miniplayer will be available for all users of our desktop app, but we can confirm that a further, more complete Miniplayer rollout is in the works 🙂

In case the player has worked for you before but has for some reason stopped doing so, you can try going through a complete clean reinstall of the app just in case.
