itunes songs imported but itunes playlist import has empty playlists

Hi, there seem to be reports of similar problems (like the spotify import itunes playlist option being grayed out) but those one seems unsolved:

Mac OS, Spotify app

Spotify-preferences select source itunes -> spotify finds all my itunes music

spotify->file->import-playlists->itunes

All of my playlist names are imported into spotify, but all the playlists are empty  - no songs appear in them.

Any ideas?  Much appreciated...

What format are those local files in? Do they appear in the "Local Files" section of Spotify?

Hi, the formats vary (I have 75000 tracks) but mp3 and aac mostly.

Yes collection->local files shows many many tracks.

I've deleted and imported iTunes playlists for a month with no results. The iTunes playlists names appear but there are no song in the playlists. This worked a few months back but stopped. Has anyone found a solution? This is so simple, I don't understand why Spotify has fallen down on this issue.

When I try to import Itunes files into spotify the folder is empty. I moved the the somgs into local files.  They are playing on my desktop but not on my mobile device.  On many of the songs, half of the songs info is grayed out.  Any idea what is going on?

I haven't figure a solution. I may just go to Google Music, which costs the
same. Pretty disappointed in the latest version of Spotify.

Wow. I have never heard of google music but if can perform all the same
functions and can resolve that issue I may look into it as well. Thank you.
