"Can't Play this song" Error Message

"Can't Play this song" Error Message

Spotify has been super slow recently—searches, browsing, etc. but especially playback. I keep consistently getting a blue flag that says "can't play this song." Other internet functions seem to be working fine so it doesn't seem to be a speed/connectivity issue. Really frustrating considering I pay for premium in order to have high-quality streaming and that's been completely impossible recently.

Thanks for coming to the Community for help.

 

Can you let us know what operating system you're using and if it happens at the start of tracks or in the middle of tracks? Also, does it happen with local files or catalogue tracks or both? Are you switching audio output when it happens?

 

Try uninstalling the app, restarting your computer and reinstalling Spotify.

 

Let us know how it goes.
