Sounds like you're trying to log in on our website. You can download the desktop app here. After installing it, you should be greeted by this page (see below).
Clicking Log in will open your browser where you can enter your login credentials. Proceed with the steps and you should be in!
If you're having issues with logging in, try changing the Proxy type of the desktop app to "No proxy". You can do this from the Settings option on the main screen. You can also check if using another browser as your default does the trick.
