AndroidStudio cut-paste causes connect to device change from Windows to Android

If the Spotify App happens to running on my Android phone (but it was paused hours earlier), and I have been using Spotify on my Windows 10 laptop. Then in AndroidStudio, I am editting text.... every once in a long while, I will select text, copy and paste.... then Spotify will switch connected devices from the laptop to my android phone. I have also seen this when starting the Spotify Windows 10 program, where it will start by connecting to the Android Device for playing; that I can accept given it was the last playing device.... But switching on text cut/paste in a different Windows program, very strange. The Android is a OnePlus One, with debugging over USB.
