Since the most recent update, whenever I attempt to open Spotify, I get this error message appear:
"Spotify.exe - Application Error" followed by "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000001). Click ok to close the application".
Regardless of the version I install, it always updates to the most recent version, when the error appears.
I've tried uninstalling (using Revo) in Safe Mode, rebooting, then reinstalling. Same issue. If the offline installer gives a version that runs, it's swiftly updated the next time Spotify is opened.
Even run a Windows 10 reset install. Same issue pops back up.
Same here on Windows 7 SP1
I have the same problem since last update.. tried to reinstall Spotify, but same error. Running on win7.
Same Problem on windows 7
Also same on Windows 7 - any sign of a fix?
Are the Spotify people on holiday or something?
Or do they just don't really care?
Can we get an answer please? Thank you.

Hopefully the issue gets resolved soon;
meanwhile you can disable autoupdate, so you can use the previous version which doesn't throw that error. 🙂
Yeah, seems like they don’t care.. Sure, I mostly use the app but would be good to be able to use my laptop as well.. Would at least expect an answer.. Great customer care! 👍
Still no fix. Short of rolling right back, basically impossible to use.
Be nice if Spotify could actually look into the issue.
Anyone know if this is going to get fixed soon? Or have an update from Spotify support?
same error.. no solution?
