Hey there @Pixelhaufen,
Thanks for the post.
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble playing Spotify on your PC.
Can you let us know if this started happening just recently (after an update or something similar) or it has been like this for a long time? Also, is it possible for you to check if your account works as expected on another computer or to log in with a free account on your device to check if your content loads.
It's a long shot, but it's possible that this issue is account related.
Looking forward to your reply.
Hey @Alex
it was like this before but i just didnt use Spotify so i didnt care. And it doesnt work on another account either so i dont think its an account sided issue
Hey @Pixelhaufen,
Thank you for keeping in contact and sharing the info.
To continue investigating this case, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) as recommended previously by @Alex to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.
Also, include in your next response the OS version of your device and the Spotify version you're currently running. This will give us a better look at the issue.
We'll be on the lookout.
Hey,
on another device it actually worked! My Spotify version is: Spotify for Windows (32 bit) 1.2.13.661.ga588f749 ; my OS Version (Windows): Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045
Thanks for ur response
Hey @Pixelhaufen,
Thank you for your message.
If it worked on a different device, it could be device-related. In this case, we'd recommend first checking if Spotify is an exclusion on your firewall and if all permissions are granted. To do so, check out the steps in the marked solution in this thread.
If the issue persists, we'd recommend uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, but using a different source, to see if it makes any difference. This means that if you have installed the version downloaded from the website, you can install the Microsoft Store version, and vice versa.
Let us know how it goes.
Hey OscarDC,
Thanks, but the windows defender firewall is completely turned off already and I don't have any anti virus program. Also, I've already tried the newest version, the windows store version and also older versions
I deleted my host file and now it works but thanks for the help 🙂
